Project Bronze Forever Rotom hide-and-seek and appliances
One Normal Rotom in Fortulose Manor, then five appliance forms in the Anthian Park Power Station.
Rotom is an Electric/Ghost set encounter inside Fortulose Manor, then a form machine inside Anthian Park. You catch it once as Normal Rotom after a hide-and-seek through possessed appliances. You change it as many times as you want later by walking into the Power Station with Rotom in the party and clicking an oven, washer, fridge, fan, or mower. The catch is the one-chance part. The forms are not.
This page follows the official Rotom video. Watch the mid-article clip for the exact rooms; the manor is easy to loop if you skip a possessed object. Bring Repels, a spare box slot, and a save before the Game Boy. If you have not reached Route 9, finish Rosecove on the gyms path and the getting started route first.
Fortulose Manor hide-and-seek
Fly to Rosecove City, enter Route 9, and go to Fortulose Manor on the left side of the giant tree clearing. Inside, take the first hallway on the left and enter the second room, the music room with a jukebox. The jukebox flashes. Click it. Electricity pops, a presence leaves, and the hunt starts. Rotom is hopping through about seven pieces of tech in the manor. You click each possessed object until the trail ends at a Game Boy.
The official video’s path, in short: leave the music room, use the other hallway, enter the bedroom, click the red book on the nightstand, then the green button so the wardrobe dumps you upstairs. Continue through halls into the library and other rooms, clicking whatever is sparking: PCs, toasters, more appliances. Use broken stairs or rail holes to drop back to the ground floor, and use the wardrobe book whenever you need 1F again. Attic access is a balcony slope off the rightmost 1F door. If an object does nothing, you clicked it already or Rotom is elsewhere.
This is the same building where you catch Shuppet with Frisk for Volcanion. You can Frisk hunt on a later visit. Do not start the Rotom click-chain if you only wanted a Shuppet; the jukebox begins a scripted chase. Ghost candles and teacups in the manor are Litwick and Sinistea side encounters, not Rotom.
Game Boy battle and the real catch
When the upstairs bedroom shows a Game Boy on the nightstand, stop. Save. Turn autosave off. Click the console. You are pulled into a toy Kanto, forced toward a tower, and shoved into a scripted fight where a borrowed Pikachu only has Thunder. Win that toy fight. You pop back into the bedroom with Rotom beside you. That second battle is the real catch.
Normal Rotom is Electric/Ghost. Ghost and Electric both like Dusk Balls in a dark manor. Status and False Swipe beat panic Ultra Balls. If it faints, that file does not get another manor Rotom. Leave without saving only if autosave stayed off. This is the same discipline as Victini and the Regis, not a repeatable wild spawn like Route 9 grass.
After the catch, turn autosave on in a Pokemon Centre. Nickname it by the form you plan to run first. You cannot catch a second Rotom to keep Heat and Wash at once; you swap the one you have.
Anthian Park Power Station
Reach Anthian City by airship from Cragonos Peak, then walk to the Park District. The Power Station sits in the park. Put Rotom in the party (not the PC) and enter. Orange household appliances line the interior. Click the one that matches the form you want:
- Oven: Heat Rotom, Electric/Fire, learns Overheat.
- Washing machine: Wash Rotom, Electric/Water, learns Hydro Pump.
- Fridge: Frost Rotom, Electric/Ice, learns Blizzard.
- Fan: Fan Rotom, Electric/Flying, learns Air Slash.
- Mower: Mow Rotom, Electric/Grass, learns Leaf Storm.
Clicking the same appliance again reverts Rotom to Normal Electric/Ghost and can delete the form move. If that wipe leaves Rotom with no moves, Thunder Shock comes back. You do not need a new item for each swap. You do need Rotom in the party; a boxed Rotom will not possess the oven.
Talk to the tent researchers is a Z-Crystals step on the Lost Islands, not a Rotom step. Do not fly to Port Decca for forms. The Power Station is the only appliance room that matters.
Which form for which gym
Wash Rotom is the usual default: Electric/Water hits Fire, Ground, and Rock, and it is not weak to Water the way a pure Electric is. Heat Rotom answers Grass and Ice and helps against Fissy more than it helps against Ghost. Mow Rotom hits Water and Ground. Frost Rotom hits Dragon and Ground. Fan Rotom hits Fighting and Grass. Read the type chart and the gym leaders parties before you lock a form for a badge. You can swap again after the gym in the same Power Station visit.
Chad in Silvent is Electric, so Rotom is not an early gym answer; you catch it after Rosecove. Sebastian in Brimber is Fire, which Wash loves. Quentin’s Water gym is already behind you by then. Zeek’s Dark gym in Frostveil cares about Fighting and Fairy, not Ice; Fan Rotom or a Dark resist from the tier list is the homework, not a guess in the park. Captain B.’s Ghost gym hates Normal, so keep Rotom in an appliance form or swap back to Electric/Ghost. Team Eclipse fights in Anthian Park itself are why the district exists in the story. Heal before you wander into that cutscene with a 1 HP Rotom you just caught.
Codes from the codes hub do not spawn Rotom. They can restock balls. The manor catch is a story object, not a promo.
What Rotom is not
Rotom is not an Eeveelution, not a Mega, and not a Z-Crystal user by default. It will not become Heatran. It will not open the Steam Chamber. It shares a building with the Volcanion Frisk catch, and it shares Anthian with the shopping-district ball shop you use for legendary birds. Keep those pages separate in your notes.
If the jukebox is not flashing, you already started the chase or another session is stuck. Rejoin the place, walk back to the music room, and follow the official video room-by-room instead of clicking random chairs. When the five appliances are memorized, Rotom becomes a type swiss army knife you take to the Colosseum, not a one-time cutscene.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers trainers actually search for.
Where do I catch Rotom in Project Bronze Forever?
Fortulose Manor on Route 9 from Rosecove. Click the flashing jukebox in the left-hall music room, follow possessed appliances, then save and fight the Game Boy encounter. One chance.
How do I change Rotom's form?
Put Rotom in your party, enter the Power Station in Anthian Park, and click the oven (Heat), washer (Wash), fridge (Frost), fan (Fan), or mower (Mow). Click the same appliance to revert.
Can I have more than one Rotom form at once?
No. You catch one Normal Rotom and swap its form. Box a screenshot of the appliance layout if you forget which machine is Frost.
What type is Normal Rotom?
Electric/Ghost. Appliance forms keep Electric and replace Ghost with Fire, Water, Ice, Flying, or Grass. Check the type chart after every swap.
Does hide-and-seek Rotom respawn if I fail the catch?
No. Turn autosave off before the Game Boy. If the real battle faints it, that save file is finished with Rotom.
