Project Bronze Forever Starter and Team Rankings
Score picks against Roria's eight gym types, then build a party that survives Crescent.
This hub ranks Pokemon for Project Bronze Forever, the Roblox revival of Pokemon Brick Bronze, around the actual gym gauntlet in Roria. It is not a Showdown ladder dump and it is not a popularity contest. Silvent is Electric. Brimber is Fire. Rosecove is Water. Anthian is Flying. Aredia is Ground. Fluoruma is Grass. Frostveil is Dark, not Ice. Crescent is Ghost. A starter that looks cute on Route 1 can stall you for hours if it loses to Chad, Sebastian, and Quentin in a row.
Read the starter tier list before you talk to Professor Cypress in Mitis Town, then use the team comps page once you have three badges and a real box. Both pages assume you will catch coverage instead of forcing one Pokemon through every gym. The type chart is the math underneath the ranks. The gym walkthrough is the route. The starter guide is the pick-and-catch checklist.
How these ranks work
S-tier means the line carries the first three gyms with honest super-effective hits and still has a job against Stephen, Ryan, Fissy, Zeek, and Captain B. A-tier means the line is strong if you patch one bad matchup. B-tier means you will grind extra or lean on catches. C-tier means the first gyms punish the typing so hard that the later mega or secondary type does not repay the pain.
The list is opinionated on purpose. Mudkip sits at the top because Ground answers Chad and Water answers Sebastian. Charmander is still A because Charizard wrecks Fissy and handles Grass and Bug fillers, but you will suffer in Silvent. Tepig and Litten sit in C because Fire versus Sebastian is a brick wall, and you already have to climb a lava gym after Team Eclipse steals the Red Orb. If you love those lines, keep them — just do not pretend the gym order is fair to them.
What belongs on a ranked team
A ranked team in this wiki is a six-slot plan with a job for each badge, not a box of legendaries. Early teams after gym 3 want a Ground or Grass answer to Quentin, a Water or Ground answer leftover from Chad, and something that can take Flying coverage into Anthian. Mid-game teams after the Soaring Badge should include a flyer so HM Fly is not a dead slot. Late teams versus Zeek and Captain B. need Fighting, Fairy, Dark, and Ghost answers, plus a False Swipe user if you are hunting legendary birds or the Regis.
Trade Resort and Battle Colosseum are the online half of the same ranking problem. A story team that steamrolls gym trainers can fold in Colosseum if every slot is a starter final-evo with no speed control. Use EV training before you treat Colosseum as a test of the tier list.
How to use this hub without overthinking
- Pick from the starter tier with gym 1–3 in mind.
- Follow getting started through Silvent so you can redeem codes.
- After Rosecove, rebuild using the sample teams.
- Check gym leaders for puzzle and HM notes, not just types.
- Before Frostveil and Crescent, reread Dark and Ghost rows on the type chart.
If a copy of the experience went down, confirm the live place on game status and Discord before you invest Rare Candy into a party that only exists on a dead server. Progress is designed to persist across re-uploads, but your time is not.
Ranks will not replace catching. Swampert does not solo Captain B. Decidueye does not make Zeek free. Empoleon does not replace a dedicated Ground type for Ryan. Use the sub-pages as a filter, then let the box fill the holes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers trainers actually search for.
Is this a PvP tier list?
No. Rankings are built for Roria gym order and story fights. Colosseum notes sit on the team comps page after you finish badges.
Which page should I open first?
New saves should open the starter tier list. After three badges, switch to team comps.
Why is Frostveil ranked as Dark instead of Ice?
Zeek's gym is a Dark-type Contrast-style platformer. Ice coverage helps some of his dual types, but Dark resists and immunities are the real plan. See gym leaders.
Do I have to follow S-tier?
No. S-tier is the lowest-friction path through Chad, Sebastian, and Quentin. Favorite picks work if you catch coverage from the starter guide.
Where do legendaries fit?
Treat birds and Regis as optional cores, not gym requirements. Hunt them with autosave off using the legendary birds and Regis guides.
