Z-Crystals Hunt

Z-Crystals in Project Bronze Forever are late-game type bombs, not gym-1 loot. This page covers Firium Z, Waterium Z, and Grassium Z from the official Fire/Water/Grass video only. Icium, Buginium, and Dragonium live on the companion Icium, Buginium, and Dragonium Z page in Lost Islands Deep Jungle; that hunt is not this article and is not a second embed here. Follow the mid-article video for the three crystal pickups, then use this text for the loop: sail, talk, pouch, pedestal, bag, battle.

You need a Z-Power bag slot before a pedestal will give you anything. If you click a glowing stand with no pouch, you walk away empty. That is the most common miss on the Lost Islands.

Port Decca yacht and the Tropics ticket

Z-Crystals of these three types live on the Lost Islands, a post-gyms (or at least post-HM) archipelago. Go to Port Decca and talk to the boat captain on the yacht. If he will not sail, buy the Tropics ticket from the Port Decca shop for 1,000 Poke dollars. You only buy it once. Pack HM03 Surf and HM08 Rock Climb on party Pokemon. Rock Smash helps elsewhere on the islands but Grassium Z is the no-HM crystal.

This is not Brimber, not Aredia Ruins, and not Fortulose Manor. Do not mix this trip with Volcanion, Victini, or Rotom. Those are one-chance Pokemon. Crystals sit on pedestals until you click them, but you still save in case a wild encounter or a disconnect dumps you in the ocean.

Finish enough of the gyms path that Surf and Rock Climb are legal. The getting started hours will not reach this yacht. If the captain is missing, you are in the wrong port. Confirm the live place on Discord when copies move.

Tent lady, Z-Band, and the pouch

Land on the Lost Islands beach. Find the tents and talk to the woman there (a paleontologist in the revival’s text). She notices you are a trainer, gives a Z-Band so crystals work in battle, and gives a bag section so you can store what you pick up. If you skip her, pedestals refuse you. Talk first, hunt second.

That talk is also the quest flag for the three starter-type crystals on this island group. Grassium, Firium, and Waterium are the easy trio compared with crystals hidden deeper in the archipelago. This page stops at those three, matching the embedded video. For Icium, Buginium, and Dragonium, open Icium, Buginium, and Dragonium Z instead of waiting for a second embed on this article.

Heal at whatever Centre or tent bed is available. Buy balls before you sail if the islands have no Emporium. Codes do not grant Z-Crystals. They can refill cash for the Tropics ticket.

Three pedestals: grass, fire, water

The official video is the map. In words, without inventing extra NPC names:

Grassium Z is the shore crystal. From the beach, walk along the sand toward the shipwrecked boat. Enter the cave path near that wreck, climb the inner slope, cross to a second cave path, and climb again. The Grassium pedestal is at the top. Click it. No Surf, no Rock Climb if you can see the slopes.

Firium Z is the volcano crystal. From the beach, go inland past the tents to a Rock Climb wall. Climb, follow the cliff, climb a second wall, enter the cave on the left, and work through the lava chamber with another climb. The Firium pedestal is at the end of that magma room. Click it. If you cannot climb, you cannot finish this crystal yet.

Waterium Z is the surf crystal. Start on the beach again. Surf to the neighboring island, then keep surfing down the stream that cuts into that island. The Waterium pedestal sits on the mini-island inside the cove. Click it. If Surf is not in the party, you will stare at water.

If a pedestal does nothing, you skipped the tent lady. If you cannot find a slope, pause and watch the mid-article video instead of guessing a second cave. There is one crystal type per location in this trio. You will not find Waterium on the shipwreck slope.

Using Z-Moves in battle

Hold or assign the crystal on a Pokemon that can use that type, then trigger the Z-Move in battle with the Z-Band. Grassium Z upgrades a Grass move (think Bloom Doom on a Grass STAB). Firium Z upgrades Fire. Waterium Z upgrades Water. A Normal-type Eevee cannot fire Hydro Vortex without a Water move and Waterium Z. Match type to move. The type chart still applies to the Z-Move’s type.

One Z-Move per Pokemon per battle is the usual Brick Bronze rule. Pick the turn: a Waterium nuke into Sebastian is a Fire-gym answer you did not have in Silvent. Grassium into Quentin’s Water core. Firium into Fissy’s Grass leads. Zeek is Dark, so these three crystals are coverage buttons, not a Dark-gym win. Captain B. is Ghost; Firium and Waterium are neutral tools, not Ghost answers. Chad already used Electric; Firium does not win that gym retroactively.

Eeveelutions pair cleanly: Leafeon plus Grassium Z, Flareon plus Firium Z, Vaporeon plus Waterium Z. Wash Rotom plus Waterium Z is a special-water nuke. This is extra damage, not a replacement for Mega Stones such as Sablenite. You can carry both systems.

Hunt loop without extra names

The honest loop for any remaining crystals in this revival is the same even when this page will not list every NPC: late gyms or post-game access, one crystal type per location, talk to the island researcher first, pack Surf/Climb/Smash as the video shows, pack balls, save before a nasty wild, click the pedestal, leave. Do not invent a fourth fire crystal in Brimber’s Steam Chamber. Volcanion is a Pokemon, not a Z-stand.

Team Eclipse does not drop these three crystals. Legendary birds and Regis do not require Z-Moves to start their fights. Use crystals in those battles if you want, after the pouch exists.

Check event updates if a new crystal type is announced. Until then, the tier list will treat Firium, Waterium, and Grassium as once-per-battle type buttons you earned on the Lost Islands, not as catchable species.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers trainers actually search for.

Why can I not pick up a Z-Crystal on the Lost Islands?

Talk to the woman at the tents first. She gives the Z-Band and the pouch. Pedestals stay empty until that flag is on.

The yacht captain will not sail to the Lost Islands. What now?

Buy the Tropics ticket in the Port Decca shop for 1,000 Poke dollars, then talk to the captain again. You only need the ticket once.

Which HMs do Firium Z, Waterium Z, and Grassium Z need?

Grassium Z is the cave-slope crystal near the shipwreck. Firium Z needs Rock Climb through the lava chamber. Waterium Z needs Surf to the inner island. Watch the mid-article official video for the camera path.

Where are Icium Z, Buginium Z, and Dragonium Z?

On the companion Icium, Buginium, and Dragonium Z page in Lost Islands Deep Jungle. This article stays on Firium, Waterium, and Grassium. Talk to the tent woman first so the pouch flag is on for both hunts.

Do codes give Z-Crystals?

No. Redeem codes for other rewards. Crystals come from Lost Islands pedestals after the Tropics sail.
