Wild Pokemon Locations

Knowing where to find wild Pokemon is the difference between grinding for hours and catching exactly what you need. Project Bronze Forever spans Route 1 through Route 15 plus special areas, each with its own spawn table, level range, and notable species. This page is the route-by-route index. Play the live copy from the official play page and use it alongside the type chart and the starter guide before you walk into any grass.

Route Overview

Roria’s routes are organized numerically from south to north, with Mitis Town as the starting point and Crescent Island as the final gym destination. Each route has wild Pokemon that appear at different frequencies: common, uncommon, and rare. Some routes also have special spawns tied to time of day or weather conditions.

The complete Pokedex in Project Bronze Forever contains 818 Pokemon, but only 644 are currently available due to missing locations, lack of Surf access, and unencoded legendary encounters. The gym leaders page and Fandom wiki maintain the full Pokedex with obtainability status.

Route 1: Mitis Town to Cheshma Town

Route 1 is the first road every trainer walks. The Pokemon here are low-level and teach the basics of catching:

  • Common: Pidgey, Wurmple, Zigzagoon
  • Uncommon: Bunnelby, Fletchling, Sentret
  • Trainers: Bug Catcher Ralph, Camper Jack, Picnicker Susie

This route is also where you catch your first coverage Pokemon. Fire-types handle the Bug trainers comfortably. If you chose a Water or Grass starter, a caught Zigzagoon or Pidgey fills the gap. The getting started guide covers this route in the first-hour story.

Route 2: Cheshma Town to Galevil Quarry

Route 2 connects Cheshma Town to Galevil Quarry. The spawn table here introduces slightly higher levels:

  • Common: Pidgey, Wurmple, Lotad, Seedot
  • Uncommon: Taillow, Wingull, Surskit
  • Notable: This route has water access for fishing

Route 3: Galevil Quarry to Rosecove City

Route 3 bridges the quarry and the first coastal city:

  • Common: Abra, Drowzee, Maki
  • Uncommon:ralts, Meditite, Mawile
  • Notable: Psychic types become more common here

Routes 4 through 7: Anthian City Routes

Routes 4, 5, 6, and 7 surround Anthian City and lead toward the northern section of Roria:

  • Route 4: Various flying and normal types at moderate levels
  • Route 5 (Glistening Grotto): Cave location with Mega Sableye spawning in the upper sections. This is also where you may find Jirachi on the legendary redemption path mentioned in community guides
  • Route 6: Mixed grass and water types
  • Route 7: Higher elevation species including Rock and Ground types

The Glistening Grotto on Route 5 is a notable location mentioned in YouTube guides for Mega Sableye encounters and lucky legendary redemptions.

Routes 8 through 12: Fluoruma and Northern Roria

These routes connect the central region to Fluoruma City and beyond:

  • Route 8: Coastal species, water and flying types
  • Route 9: Fortulose Manor area with Shuppet for Frisk, and the moss rock for Leafeon evolution. This route also connects to the deeper caves
  • Route 10: Higher level wilds
  • Route 11: Mixed terrain with diverse spawns
  • Route 12: Near Fluoruma with Grass and Bug types prominent

Route 9 is particularly important because it houses both Fortulose Manor (for Rotom hunting and Shuppet with Frisk) and the Leafeon moss rock mentioned on the Eeveelutions page.

Route 13: Mt. Cragonos Cavern Route

Route 13 is a cavern route connecting Route 12 and Fluoruma City at the north end of Mt. Cragonos. Despite the lack of sunlight, grass and mushrooms grow here due to special minerals that cause plants to shine:

  • Notable Place: Chamber of the Jewel entrance
  • Wild Pokemon: Cave-dwelling species including Zubat, Golbat, and cave-exclusive evolutions
  • Items: Cave-specific items and evolution stones

This route is also where the Chamber of the Jewel entrance leads to additional content. The gym leaders page and gym walkthrough do not cover this area in detail, but it is a key connecting route for players exploring the northern region.

Routes 14 and 15: Ice Route and Late Game

The northernmost routes before Crescent Island:

  • Route 14: Ice-type wilds begin appearing as you approach the frozen section of Roria
  • Route 15: Ice rock for Glaceon evolution, higher level species, and access to late-game hunting grounds

Route 15 is where the Glaceon evolution rock is located, as documented on the Eeveelutions page. Players hunting all eight Eeveelutions must visit this route.

Cragonos Cliffs and Mining Areas

The Cragonos Cliffs mines are key fishing locations:

  • Chinchou: Found fishing in the Cragonos Cliffs mines (rock bridge, climb down to water) with Deep Sea Scales for the legendary birds hunt
  • Basculin: Fish near Roria League water for additional Deep Sea Scale farming

Lagoona Lake and Day Care Surrounds

Lagoona Lake is not just the Day Care location. The surrounding routes have water Pokemon that differ from coastal routes:

  • Underwater Mining Vessel (UMV): Located in the Lagoona Trenches, this is where you can mine for Evolution stones including Fire, Thunder, and Water Stones if you have not reached Anthian Shopping District yet

The UMV is mentioned on the Eeveelutions page as an alternative stone source for early-game players.

Special Spawn Locations

Beyond the numbered routes, certain locations have unique spawn tables:

  • Gale Forest: The forest between Cheshma Town and the east side has Bug and Grass types. At night during Halloween events, Mimikyu disguises as a Pikachu here
  • Fortulose Manor: Ghost types including Shuppet with Frisk ability for the Volcanion stew
  • Frostveil Catacombs: Rock Climb access from beside the Pokemon Centre, Regi trio chamber with colored-button puzzles
  • Lost Islands: Post-game archipelago reached by Tropics ticket from Port Decca, with Z-Crystal pedestals

Wild Pokemon by Pokedex Section

The complete Pokedex in Project Bronze Forever contains 818 Pokemon, but only 644 are currently available due to missing locations, lack of Surf access, and unencoded legendary encounters. The gym leaders page and Fandom wiki maintain the full Pokedex with obtainability status.

For hunting purposes, the practical approach is:

  1. Identify the type coverage you need for the next gym
  2. Check the route table above for that type’s common spawn
  3. Catch a few individuals, prioritizing nature and ability if you are EV training later

Time of Day and Weather

Some Pokemon only appear at certain times:

  • Night: Darker Pokemon appear more frequently, Ghost types are more common
  • Day: Normal and Fire types are more active
  • Special Events: Mimikyu appears at night in Gale Forest during Halloween; Haunter roams every route during seasonal events

Fishing Locations

Water Pokemon require different approaches:

  • Old Rod: Basic water catches for early game
  • Good Rod: Better chance at species with held items like Deep Sea Scales
  • Super Rod: Reserved for rare water species and evolution stones from fishing

The legendary birds guide specifically requires Good Rod fishing for Chinchou and Basculin with Deep Sea Scales in the Cragonos Cliffs mines and near Roria League.

Use this route index alongside the gym walkthrough to plan your catching route before each badge. The most common mistake is walking into Silvent Gym with no coverage for Electric types because you never stopped to catch a Ground-type on Route 1 or 2.
